Repurposing Zero VOC paint and limestone chalk used to decorate and demarcate sports fields, I paint patterns on parcels of land. The grass serves as a green color base. The lines of varying thicknesses and colors create a painted blanket on the grass. In the spirit of "creative place making" the altered grass draws viewers who instantly become participants as they enter the fields. Dancers are invited to coreograph site specific work on the fields. As the grass grows the painting will slowly blur out of focus and ultimately be mowed away.
